This work will utilise the camera systems and software developed previously to collaborate with fishers to address data deficiencies in crustacean fisheries. As well as utilising the camera system researchers will gather additional data by field work on fishing vessels and fisher collected samples. Data will provide scientific evidence for sustainable fisheries.

The Fisher-Scientist Partnership for Sustainable Welsh Fisheries is requesting fishers to assist in continued data collection and a lobster v-notching scheme during the covid-19 pandemic. Financial support is available for participants. Please click on the links below for more details.
